== Cretaceous Square == This was the precursor to the oldest version of Stablehand, and now may also be the precursor to the newest version if it successfully gets rewritten. In the very beginning it was an excuse to make characters; the characters were being fit into the {{book|Homestuck}} style, but this was more in the sense of a crossover than that they were really truly meant to be {{book|Homestuck}} characters. Accordingly, the Cretaceous Square characters would be slightly reworked for a new setting which would be themed around them, and this would be the {{book|Retrogarde Fantasy Stablehand}} setting. The basic idea of this story was that it was largely chat-log-based much like {{book|Homestuck}}. It also featured pixel animations or fake screenshots, and I don't know if I would bother doing that again for the rewrite. I feel like totally static images drawn in any appropriate art style and reduced to indexed color for "retro" effect would probably work just as well. The new version of Cretaceous Square would be wholly written around the Stablehand characters without any {{book|Homestuck}} elements in it, so there would be no reason to preserve the {{book|Homestuck}} aesthetic versus Stablehand's "retrogarde" aesthetic.
