<pre>[revision] ------ "hyu" [cr. 1694814711] ``` 𩅻 彪 biāo? biāo hyū theoretically hyū, hyō hard rain tiger-striped ``` * at this moment I was more convinced Kirtora would specifically be a rare and powerful counterpart to Hyū ------ pg. "23-9-17" * Kirtora is largely based on an origami appearance, although like Hyū, it does not specifically follow the physical constraints of paper and is most specifically made of shapes and angles * my initial thoughts were that it might animate wildly like it was not a stable object and more like two collections of stripes tossed into each other. this is what led to the tag "Kilter" — the shapes appear neat and balanced at first but are not at all fixed. * the stripes were a critical part of the design. I wanted there to be tiger-stripe crosses to match some of the secret forms in monsterfarm * I do not entirely remember why I made it split-coloured, although I do know that once I got there the angular origami shape and "kilter animation" concept immediately followed * I think it was a matter of not being able to decide on the colours and feeling like white tigers were cliché and improperly elevated as a well-known freak animal when they are not common naturally. this led me to attempt to make it steel-grey but I was not satisfied with that so after a few different tries at other colours it ultimately ended up tearing into two colours * right before I drew this I was /so/ convinced in my mind that the "Paper tiger" acorn card in MtG was a lot better designed than it was, and that it was what inspired my first silhouette of Kirtora, but I did not remember that card correctly at all [*mtg] ------ [cr. 1697590442] Kirtora "Kilter" A being born to embody a HEART. it is nothing but sincere, and strives to be all that its set of qualities can possibly be. ------ pg. "23-10-16B" Cherry — Kilter × Yap It insists that it found its favourite paper shoe on a cherry tree. Others question this ------ ; =/> cojak.org/index.php?function=code_lookup&term=5F6A => en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E5%BD%AA n. 彪 ; U+5F6A => wiktionary.org/w/index.php?title=%F0%A9%85%BB n. 𩅻 ; U+2917B => scryfall.com/card/und/80/paper-tiger *mtg ; >> 1695015719 kirtora </pre> [[Category:CDRW archive]]
