			if you go about one step before this happened, you'd get to the Hayes Code emerging from real-world conditions and then putting restrictions on media of a certain time period. the prescriptive statement would be something like how you change society to prevent the Hayes code, not what you tell queer-theorists to think of themselves to prevent movies. movies don't inherently respect what people think of themselves or think their experience is, as you'd know if you've ever seen a stereotype in a movie.<br/>
