			it's crazy how, I am almost certain that the way First World countries talk about North Korea is influenced by the fact that the US Confederacy never faced any true consequences. [https://world.kbs.co.kr/special/northkorea/contents/news/closeup_view.htm?No=355353] I think United States people and even South Koreans genuinely don't understand the idea of slaveholders not being your friends that you have to treat as an ends and not a means and {{a\|E=tent of freedom poles}} even as being friends with them will inevitably lead to repeatedly making excuses for the oppressors and prioritizing them over the people they have hurt. there's the Idealist concept of expelling the intolerant, and then there's the Materialist concept of expelling materially oppressive populations. the former does basically nothing but I think the latter is actually somewhat useful. in that respect Frantz Fanon might be categorically wrong — he might not be right when he says it's useless to create the national bourgeoisie. they don't really do much of anything positive, it's true, but national movements are actually important, and solely on the day they happen you do need somebody to carry them out with instead of nobody. I guess the key is trying to defeat the bourgeoisie immediately after you get national independence? something like that.
