today just before I went on my walk I was thinking about how I'd for a while had an image in my mind of some monsterfarm plugins, but just never ever felt like doing as much as sitting down and drawing the mon once in 'asekai style'. the time between the primary and general election is just Depression even if there wasn't covid

so then i just started thinking. what if they were bootlegs and i could change the hell out of them to alleviate my boredom
and i started immediately sitting down and creating "monster rancher the asspull version, i cannot take more than 5 minutes to decide on any idea except names"
i actually started enjoying the process a lot.
i think I will just write the majin story as lore for this New bootleg modsphere instead of as a literal fanfiction
although i do want it to be a thorough bootleg that comments on and turns Every part of the monsterrancher lore in a wild direction into Something

what i decided on today

* rygar (tiger) -> Sundersorce - still an electric dog, but can inexplicably fly, maybe through bullshit electromagnet shenanigans. pulls flying dogsleds
* raiden -> Vetromania - almost always prefers walking to flying. possibly has a connection to 2d action platformers
* roadrunner (zoom) -> Rail - fusions are named after bird names you wouldn't believe are bird names. possibly goes Legitimately impossible speeds or has some other connection to trains
* wracky -> a furby. just a little fluffy animatronic, or maybe a big one, i don't know
* suezo -> a fucking abomination. it is not half weird enough. it needs to be this 'what the /fuck/' weird bush of organic /features/, outdoing Vamp in asekai. fusions are going to be fun
* phoenix -> can probably stay, although making it less visually standard would be cool

* the modsphere as a whole is called CᴅʀW or Crossdrawn Ways
* but there are not necessarily any discs in the actual lore as i think that's about the one top thing monsterfarm even HAS as a trademark [*mk]

there is going to be a bootleg for Every mf 'strain', if not for in the modsphere (which for a while i probably just want to make a couple plugins for), absolutely for the majin story and the fun of drawing them

wow these things were like shelled squids that convergently became nautiluses?? (they had ink.) thats crazy
Ammonites are floating around in the ocean and attack ships sailing off to conquer somewhere - or really just about anybody, but those were the guys that complained the most - giving them the reputation of the scary sea monster you put on your map, "here be Ammonites"

visually this thing is probably going to be like a completely different take on escavalier because people don't create obvious connections between ideas and what can you do
