I am really possessed to make a font that abuses arbitrary ZWJ sequences to create monster icons.<br />
it just sounds really neat, and it also has some amount of practical use in rendering text-only bop entries<br />
<br />
...I could even add these guys to my compose key. that's crazy<br />

* in _Monster Rancher_, monster sprites are used rather than icons<br />
* _Monster Rancher 2_ has square icons<br />
* _Monster Rancher 3_ has simple faces<br />
* _Monster Rancher 4_ has simple main-breed faces in a porthole window. _EVO_ is very similar<br />
* _Monster Rancher DS_ has returned to no icons and monster sprites<br />

I think the system used should be a bit more on the "cryptic" side with a main monster head in semi-silhouette and a "verb" next to it, so the image really looks like "Simurgh × Memorō" for instance<br />
trying to draw two verbs wouldn't work very well, and drawing two faces is a little cluttered, but a face and a verb should go rather well together<br />
