the whole notion of the "snowflake" within Toryism doesn't even make any sense,

when contrasted with absolutely every argument people give for preserving capitalism

like, we look at Shiny Pidgey. Pidgey is usually a common and ordinary Pokémon, but if it's Shiny Pidgey, it's no longer common. Shiny Pidgey has worth to someone. and that kind of story is usually turned into some kind of motivational story that we don't need to go looking for anything to change if we only have hope. Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. Alan Turing made great discoveries in computing "even though" he was gay. you, too, will get slotted into the place you belong within capitalism if only everyone across the earth would suddenly stop having prejudice.

in some cases, this theme of having worth because somebody agrees you have worth becomes aggressively expressed. in the Starlight Glimmer episode, every single ordinary pony comes together against Starlight just because they have a personality while she apparently doesn't. this episode really shows how the entire concept of unappreciated identities can work just fine without any appeal to particular demographics. if you're gay, trans, or alternatively if you have any kind of personality, then you must band together with everyone against Utopian Socialism and Marxism. when My Little Pony gen 5 came around, yet again, the focus was on trying to make magic powers out of every pony being individuals. cutie marks, the personality emblems on each pony, now have their own powers. _Make Your Mark_ comes across as if even though Starlight had long ago stopped posing a problem, somehow the ponies are now /really/ afraid of Starlight and have created a defense against anyone ever taking away their cutie marks again. yet you can already see the cracks in the plan. despite everyone in Equestria becoming more and more individual and supposedly more and more empowered, Equestria has splintered into three populations where everyone has only become more hateful. is individuality even saving them from their problems, or is it actually somehow creating them?
