...I think Trotsky called me out here. it's hard to say if I qualify for "petty bourgeoisie" when I am as ridiculously unemployed as I am, but I did say I built meta-Marxism to be 'less alienating to a population made of half petty bourgeoisie', and meta-Marxism itself has most certainly been in a position of standing on the fence waiting to pick sides and holding that to be "useful", which can encourage flat-out opportunism at times as opposed to selecting a winning party through an actually good method. I was way too lax on Dengism, I would know this. and in turn, whenever the owners per se take control of one of those factions, that can lead you to be unnecessarily harsh on the actually good parties. there's a hidden unity of opposites inside every "act of tolerance", it's always there.
so yeah. if you separate the concept of "opportunists" out of his statement as its own thing, pasting it over "petty bourgeoisie", then he could quite fairly throw it at me. and, point taken.
I have been quite seriously considering just making this wiki 'a Trotskyist wiki' where the ICFI position is the baseline reference for what might be correct, and all the proposition-collecting and swatch analysis is basically just trying to investigate and challenge what they say to see if there are any holes in it as opposed to assuming there is some kind of equal arena of several free-floating Marxisms.
