then again, looking back at James P. Cannon's letter... Trotskyism fared {{em|really badly}} during WWII. when you look at it all from a distance, what it starts to look like is Trotskyists failed in Europe, the Axis powers were stronger, Stalin's Marxism had to take over the area to be able to defeat the Axis powers leading to it fighting off Trotskyism like a glorified anarchism, but because the Axis powers were so strong, capitalism had already prepared a huge cluster of center-Liberal armies that was stronger than Stalin's Marxism when combined and then both Marxisms were defeated. World War II was so bad that like, it was almost a 'medieval' war between archaic classes that had nothing to do with Marxism, like the regional wars between local-states before kingdoms only much more deadly. what do you even do if that's happening? there are many conflicts that Marxism has to simply understand have nothing to do with the central topics of Marxism that bring Marxism into existence. and yet if this stuff really doesn't concern Marxism, how do you ever win against capitalism when it's one of the strongest things in the universe despite being one of the most fragile and fractured things there is? | |||
