Main entry
- wave machine -> a particular kind of mathematical process or Algebra which provides various ways to describe the interaction of two events. named after Wavebuilder, but is actually the principle behind Wavebuilder.
What is artificial intelligence?
- Large language models are models of human intuition, and not models of what is logical; this is to imply that being a model of intuition is part of why LLMs can't spell the word "strawberry" and return unpredictable answers to arithmetic problems
- Formal logic is a form of artificial intelligence (simple form of; early form of) in that it has the ability to come to conclusions without literally making use of natural human intuition (human intelligence; "common sense"; human social intelligence; human emotional intelligence; human intelligence based in Lived Experience as opposed to book knowledge); this is to imply that formal logic is a form of artificial intelligence but is not a form of machine learning, artificial neural network, or large language model
- Fallacies are AI hallucinations / Logical fallacies are AI hallucinations / Formal logic is a form of artificial intelligence in that it has the ability to come to conclusions without making use of natural human intuition, and as such, any time that formal logic produces an absurd conclusion which goes against natural human intuition, this is technically the same thing as an "AI hallucination"
- Abstract ideals are a form of artificial intelligence -> I know this most likely isn't true but I actually don't know why. it seems to flow naturally from "Formal logic is a form of artificial intelligence", but rather ironically, I know there is a leap from one of these steps to the other and I don't know what it is.
Atomic data
- lambda calculus with Z Items taken as atomic data -> so, say you have math. you can put "2" or "4" into a function. but if you wanted to put "oak tree" into a function, you'd have to start by assuming you know nothing about it until you have more information about how "oak tree" interacts with other physical objects. when you know that "oak tree" interacts with "water" to produce "plant growth", you can begin to put it into lambda calculus style algorithms. but before you know that, you have to treat it as if it was as opaque as the number 1 and there was no way to take it apart into further things. this is how you take material objects scanned in through observation and intuition and put them into equations
- lambda calculus with S Items subject to gostak analysis -> this is the same thing except all S Items are suspected of not being material objects and of only being loose representations of them where you have to work out what they come from or symbolize. this is where "'pata-reducing" comes in to take "oak tree" statements with fuzzy subject matter and find material statements inside them if possible
