The concept of "colonialism" is not the same as the concept of empire or imperialism. Depending on the theoretical framework, people will imply that any number of different things are colonialism and suggest all kinds of wildly-different remedies. Thus, it is important to sort these clashing ideas out into different individual models and the different plural intervention ideologies they represent.
