pandemic narrative -> I'm using the dark swatch because the real event was seen as dark, and that atmosphere is evoked in the book. I'm not so sure if a "horror" swatch truly applies to these books but it will do for now.

pandemic narrative -> these books are based on the COVID-19 pandemic, hence the use of "19" on both this motif and the book. this motif could conceivably apply to other historical pandemics or plagues if they involve people quarantining and avoiding human contact to a similar extent.
dragons as intelligent life / dragons as earth aliens

story written after Undertale was released -> this becomes quite relevant when you look at the themes of the story and begin to wonder if they're both based on the same original pool of (fairly abstract) themes.
story written after Deltarune was released -> this is technically true too.
