Main entry

  1. Trotskyism and postmodernism -> the ICFI has a lot to say about this... and so do I. this is going to be a long page.

Soviet Union is over

  1. If the Soviet bureaucracy has destroyed state capitalism, then ordinary capitalism will get rid of the bureaucracy [1] -> ...this is Menshevism, isn't it? it's in a different form than you usually see it. but it's this weird confidence in Liberal-republicanism to transform society in any way somebody wants. aggressive Menshevism.
  2. we were so full of hope; how long ago that already seems [2]

Marxism is over

  1. Marx did not regulate other Marxists / Marx showed no concern that his disciples, people with a better grasp of these powerful ideas than the average worker, might use the power bestowed upon them via Marx's own ideas (sic; methods, frameworks, models) in order to abuse other comrades, to build their own power base to gain positions of influence (Yanis Varoufakis) [3] ->
okay, sure. but let's put this into perspective. are you saying Stalin "abused other comrades", that "Trotsky abused other comrades", both, or neither? there's a huge difference between all of those. if this statement is true how do you know you aren't knowingly abusing other comrades?! you know about Marx's "ideas" but you're blatantly misusing them. so there's a decent argument that that in and of itself is abusing workers
  2. Menshevism can eliminate the surplus-value gap by getting rid of the difference between labor and the amount paid for labor / If workers and employers ever succeed in commodifying labour fully (sic; labor commodity, labor as it exists before wages; paying for labor fully), then capitalism will perish (Yanis Varoufakis) [4] -> wow! that's a tall claim. probably not true, given how capitalists always have control over how many compromises they make. throw this claim at Stalin's party and you're many times closer to being right
  3. Yanis Varoufakis is a Menshevik [5] / Yanis Varoufakis believes the blue-Gramscian model, which is more or less equivalent to Menshevism, and does not require him to abandon anticommunism
  4. Varoufakis is counter-revolutionary / Yanis Varoufakis is against proletarian revolution [6] -> it's kind of funny that I don't even need to quote anyone else and I can just quote him verbatim if I found the right quote
