curse your inevitable betrayal / curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! (Firefly) [1]
curse your inevitable betrayal -> I think what I love about this statement is it's an inherent oxymoron all the way through. "curse your" and "inevitable" should be contradictory because "inevitable" implies the speaker knew there was no way this wouldn't happen but "curse your" by itself already implies the speaker genuinely didn't think this would happen.
this is the perfect emotion in terms of trying to describe how and why people trust bourgeois parties or "broad-left" parties that by all observations are never going to cooperate. curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal
