Theories[edit]

The Knight is Dess (proposed; Fy)1-1-1

The Knight was meant to be The Vessel -> doesn't exclude the possibility of December being The Knight, and also makes it much creepier.
Gaster made Dess into his vessel / Gaster made December into his vessel -> distinct from December turning into The Angel's vessel. this would probably be the case because for some reason Gaster needs to lead The Angel through an Angel cage in the form of the Dark Worlds, and needs to create an antagonist for The Angel to pursue.
The Knight is actually genderless / The Roaring Knight is actually genderless -> so, every other video comment you see about the Roaring Knight thinks The Knight is a "him". it's been bothering me just a bit given that the three most likely possibilities are all women. but there's actually one more possibility: The Knight is any of the other possibilities but even after we know who they are is meant to be seen as actually nonbinary / totally devoid of gender.
