Hello.

During the past 6 years or so I have been putting together a framework called "violet Marxism", also known more generically as "meta-Marxism" (but not to be confused with any previous usage of that term). It takes a while to explain properly, but if I were to describe it quickly, it is a model of Communist Internationals as physical objects and how people sort themselves into effective or revisionist Communist Internationals, beginning at very small scales where links and antagonisms form, but reaching up to very large worldwide scales. I have also described it as "a Marxism that models the interactions between all Marxist tendencies or philosophies" or "quantizing Marxism by connecting tiny scales to larger ones". I used to think of violet Marxism as "a way to fix any formulation of Marxism" on some day when it was hypothetically complete, but recently, I think I have switched over to potentially join the ICFI, and what I predict now is that the ICFI is closer to solving the processes of history than most other Marxist organizations and there is likely not much value in trying to use violet Marxism to fix Stalinism. It used to be "beyond specific Marxisms" "because they might have errors", now it seems to be turning into "more precise Trotskyism".

So, I am at a point where I have written an introduction to violet Marxism, of sorts, and I would like to get it out to more people internationally so that people at least know what it is, so that the concept can be critiqued, and so that if and when people think it might be useful it can be developed further by people with more first-hand experience of being in organizations than I have who would actually know more about how to apply each part of it practically. The article I wrote is in something of an open letter format containing some observations and experiences and might not be to the specific standards of this site, so I am not sure if I am asking for the article itself to be published here, but what I would very much be interested in is some kind of feedback on the article, particularly on the parts of it that are explaining what the violet-Marxist method is and how the ICFI sees the connection between various historical situations presented in the article and the future* of Trotskyist analysis as it would be applied to those situations.

If someone at the WSWS could send me an e-mail address, I could send them a copy of the article, as well as a diagram summarizing several of the main concepts used in violet Marxism — I started drawing one before I understood there isn't simply a public e-mail address to send the article to, thinking it would be a good way to explain the article. The article is only 85-90% finished at this moment due to how long it is (it's around 60,000 words), but I thought, given I may complete it within a month, getting this letter in now is just as good. The past 6 years in the United States have been painful, so the whole time I've felt an urgent need to get involved in something or contribute something as soon as possible, but organizations are still a mess around here. So, this is my heads-up that violet Marxism / meta-Marxism exists, and I hope when I finish the article it will at least have taught somebody something.

(* I'm well aware by now that many people trying to "improve Marxism" fail and I could have made errors too, resulting in the "future" of Trotskyist methods being the same as present ones. I would want to know what people think even if their judgement was that there are fifteen previous books that make more sense than violet Marxism and they can be easily used to tear it apart. The stated purpose of violet Marxism is to find the best form of Marxism. So, anything that clarifies the method or people's understanding of Marxist tendencies as physical phenomena is already fine, as long as a solid Marxist method is being used.)
