- My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and postmodernism -> this sounds silly and you'd think it's impossible to talk about but it's quite arguable it's one of the main themes of the show as it goes on.
Season 8
- Postmodernity is not feasible / Postmodernity is not even possible / If the central concept of postmodernism is too logically contradictory with itself to even be possible — it is impossible for everyone to believe in a model about models being impossible and call it the most correct model which thus logically must be believed by everyone — it is also not possible for the condition of postmodernity to be created in reality, because if the whole world experiences postmodernity, then the world must be experiencing many physical processes which are incapable of unifying into a single phenomenon of postmodernity that if real would truly leave philosophers stumped and truly evade philosophical description; this is to imply that if postmodernity were real it would be described by several completely different theories which conflict with each other, similar to un-settled concepts in science like quantum-scale gravity, rather than a single relatively consistent set of ideas that keeps recurring in postmodernist literature as a single narrative
- Discourses and narratives are the same thing -> no idea if this one is true but I have to throw it at the wall anyway.
- Postmodern literature is impossible / A work of fiction cannot both have a single overarching story arc and be postmodern -> I really have to throw this at MLP G4 because this seems to be exactly what's going on.
- Ethnic groups tolerating each other is a form of modernism -> nobody acknowledges it and it needs to be said. you need a unified narrative of reality to have diversity and tolerance, otherwise you eventually get bigotry when two people-groups' narratives of what's true clash enough. see "Cultures are culture eaters".
