"Piatya exploiting water-edge bugs"
did I predict this before Chapter 5 or not??

2026-04-08T16:40:04H - Piatya having Ice Axe. pre- Chapter 5! but no mention of water, only ice.
I describe the Roaring in either Deltarune or Auldernet as "the ground splitting apart", as Ralsei's prophecy did. I conceptualize the ice ax imagery as something of a hard mattock that splits ice like shattering glass. I do not mention water.
so far I'm closer to 'predicting' the kinds of symbolism used in Umineko before I've read any of it than I am to predicting Deltarune.

2026-04-15T14:36:13H - rift knight theory, first known time recorded with timestamp

2026-04-19T14:52:30H - I note that Dess appears to be "behind" and "beneath" Chapter 1 "fountain" as evidenced by Lancer. / blood running from wounds is just a fabricated rule, shattered glass is closer to reality / Lightners were like gods to us = Dess urging Spade King to defy gods
I describe going between layers of Deltarune's reality as breaking glass or ignoring pain but do not really mention water.

2026-06-05T00:00I (JST) - chapters 1-4 [1]

2026-06-23T17:03:36H - kimba thought. in Texas this was the 23rd

2026-06-24T11:00R (EDT) / 2026-06-24T15:00Z - chapter 5
2026-06-25T00:30:17H - date I received chapter 5

2026-06-25T09:41:22H - approximate date of "lion finds gods below lake". I think I played the start of Chapter 5, went to sleep, and wrote this at some time after I woke up.
I think I hadn't seen the Weird Route yet but I may have seen the email survey given before Chapter 5 dropped where people were making guesses about "the depths" and "the lake".

2026-07-10T05:54:38H "the ice axe is a flask of water" - 16 days after chapter 5
this was based on Spyro glitches. [2] [3] first available in 1999

2026-07-10T09:38:08H - I look for an ominous but contextually funny bible verse which would be the 'wormwood' counterpart for Auldernet. this leads to me reading all the way through Revelation and realizing the prophecy and many things connected to it are references to this narrative

2026-07-11T14:33:52H - auldernet's prophecy

2026-07-14T09:13:06H "he knows about the thermokarst anomaly" - 20 days after chapter 5

2026-08-02T08:56:26H - I scrawl out an interpretation of chapter 0 and its main protagonist "Dr. Dess Aster" "I'm with you in the dark"

well. after laying out a timeline of the past 4 months, all the "historical evidence" seems to say I did not predict "Errormancer powers based on water" before Chapter 5.
that part was retrofitted to Chapter 5 either intentionally or unintentionally, and then I started building the point about "islands" and "the wider world" based on that

which means Deltarune really did become more Trotskyist than I was expecting it to be in its inherent thematic structure as a narrative when Chapter 5 hit in a way it wasn't before Chapter 5. Piatya gaining more themes and importance flowed from the actual content of Deltarune Chapter 5.

also worth noting: the more I revisit Piatya's story separately from the main Deltarune story the more I move away from any reference to water and revert back to the concept of solid shards of ice howling through the air — further driving in that was my pre- Chapter 5 working model.
although when I revisit "Mike" I sometimes think about whole Far Side towns disturbingly melting from improper treatment and forming ocean that way. the fire guy causes water (who has a slightly flawed understanding of Materialism) but the ice guy doesn't (who may understand Materialism better), is what seems to be my logic
