Auldernet is a fan project based on the Deltarune setting (an "alternate universe" or AU). Basically, it's a second version of the Deltarune setting where the overall world is actually the size of a small planet, and where I explored a cracktheory that the Undertale-Deltarune universe is actually a Cold War narrative where Undertale and The Underground symbolically represented something similar to the Soviet Union or North Korea; within Auldernet, Undertale is almost exactly the same as a setting or narrative except that relative to the Light World it functions as if it was in-universe fiction about the Auldernet world or a dream somebody had about it after living in it, although it is also "real" in its own right. Auldernet combines Undertale's concept of recruiting 'actual' Monsters and Humans with Deltarune's ability to have Dark Worlds, although there is also a second type of "special world" that gets more focus — past historical events. The central thread of the story is that the characters have to resolve the problems created in the past to save the world from disintegrating.

You could think of it as "Deltarune on the other side of its world", "Deltarune's earth instead of Deltarune's Alternia", or "Deltarune post-scratch" — although that might be an overcomplicated metaphor because Auldernet is vastly more straightforward than Homestuck.
