Canonicity is the concept of whether one fictional work or narrative is continuous with another, or whether elements in one such work apply to another. It is perhaps most common to see canonicity discussed in reference to fan theories, thought experiments, or fan fiction premises. Here, the connecting thread is that various fan-made thought experiments are also narratives.
