From Philosophical Research

Freedom, like free will, has a lot of different conflicting definitions.

In general, "freedom" is a separate concept from "free will", because there is no need to demonstrate the necessity for free will to exist for a person to be considered "free" or "not free" from something else. However, "free will" can be grouped into the concept of "freedom" inasmuch as someone who is already discussing freedom can invoke free will in the attempt to define methods to create or effect freedom.
