  1. Lord English is already here (Homestuck) -> I don't even remember much of what happened in Homestuck but somehow I remember this. ...
  2. Lord English is already here -> so, I read Homestuck once years ago and I am going to try to pull this out from memory. this was a really ominous phrase in context. it was like it was this huge gotcha that the characters thought there was maybe something they could do to stop Lord English from appearing but, did you really think you could do that, he's already here!
I think Lord English meaningfully appeared first in the text, and the guy that becomes him only appeared way into the story to where it was like, what are we even doing now, the structure of this is going wildly off course, not that it isn't fun if you enjoyed the style of what happened already but it's become very hard to get lost in. [1] the wiki claimed Lord English was introduced in an intermission? that's probably true but I really do not remember that.
Lord English was produced out of what is supposed to be the ultimate or scariest species I think. the Cherubs. and I think it's simply part of their lore that they come in pairs of dissociated identities and one has to take over the other for them to reach maturity, they're just always like that. which... that lore is actually weirdly more plausible than you'd think it is, because in the real world some psychologists think DID is actually a natural short-lived state of very young children who sort of develop multiple personalities and then fuse them into one. but I half remember that it's somehow not inevitable for a Cherub to hijack Sburb and become an ultimate entity, for reasons I do not understand, and only Lord English actually did it I guess.
before (?) Lord English appeared physically, Doc Scratch appeared as this completely cryptic figure. oh yeah, wait — I think Lord English bursts out of Doc Scratch, so he had to manifest second. I think there was a period where Doc Scratch was there and nobody knew when Lord English would appear, where is he??? and then when none of the characters are really expecting it that happens. I feel like you really have to tell Homestuck backwards to remember any of it. Lord English manifests, Doc Scratch turns up in the intermission first, I genuinely do not remember where he came from. he was guiding the main characters toward a mysterious objective? and it was kind of frustrating. oh yeah, Doc Scratch was in the chat logs first, and he had this annoying text quirk where the o was a cue ball so it wouldn't show up on some pages if the background was white. or was his text all-white? I don't remember. I don't even remember if Doc Scratch was first mentioned before or after The Scratch. I don't think they actually needed him to do it? so I want to say he appeared after. I think it was impossible to create the genesis frog before The Scratch and they had to do it after the long intermission across the room. everything in Homestuck sounds really fake if you've never read it, and also impossible to line up causally; that's just how it is. Halley had to become Bec but I don't even remember how. and Doc Scratch came from another universe? another session. was that it?? so Doc Scratch had to be created from something else I guess in order to causally go back to the beginning of his universe and become Doc Scratch, but I do not even know what he was made from. did... Jane's group make him or did he come from the Troll session or the Cherub session?
gosh. if I ever reread Homestuck I have to come back and check this page to see how much I remembered correctly.
then this page will be your official gauge of how well I remember everything I read and how horribly my brain swaps around historical events. which it totally does, I won't lie about that.
  3. Doc Scratch [2] -> Doc Scratch came from the Troll session. I definitely did not remember that. he was made from a "magic cue ball", which apparently was spawned into a lot of different universes so he would have infinite chances to manifest Lord English. it's like there's a modal ontological argument for Lord English or something
