    sometimes I begin to feel like blue Gramscianism started at Menshevism and there has been an unbroken line from then to now. or even that maybe some of it pre-dates Marx.
    something very interesting about this is that if you remove the word "socialism" this sentence almost makes sense as a simple description of Liberal-republicanism. it's tossing the word "socialism" in there that causes the problems. ...wait hang on. let me change this from "S1" to "F1". that is so much better.
