"I don't think this is a good attitude ... I'm not suggesting"
Yes you are!
Videos are public. Every single video anyone makes and releases to the public is a speech act. The content of a public video will always be taken as a personal partisan stance on something with a prescriptive character. There is not actually any such thing as videos that are "just for your information".

On the internet I've seen, most people appear to be almost maximally critical of technology right now. Science and technology are both turning into dirty words according to almost everyone. You absolutely can't suggest that science, reason, or rationality be used to solve a problem any more, at least if you use any of those words and a few others. Because people all over have become maximally critical of the entire concept of modernity and some undefined thing called "modernism". It's already become forbidden to do anything in society without ""thinking first"" exactly in the way that the parts of society people want to regulate never ever do but also in the way that anyone who truly wishes to be thoughtful would never be able to achieve because the information required to decide to do it in advance would never be known beforehand, and would always be unknown; if Alice doesn't know what Bob won't tolerate, and cannot possibly know until information finally propagates through thousands and thousands of people to reach her months or years later, how does Alice properly go to the effort to make exactly the thing Bob won't object to?
Postmodernism is a mainstream position now. Anarchism and David Graeber are almost mainstream positions. I feel like a significant number of people have just entirely dropped off the public internet to unknown places and started reading books or using IRC chats or something, or at the very least buried themselves in a hyper-specific mastodon instance, never coming onto YouTube or Twitter at all even to make a "we need to disconnect from technology" channel. We couldn't possibly be any more critical of technology!
So at this point, if you're still making this kind of video, it will start to look really suspicious like you're actually against — I don't know, I'm just picking something completely arbitrarily here — vaccines, psychiatrists, pro-transgender therapists that only exist in the modern age, paying with those three things through universal health care, funding space agencies / climate change research, etc. There are probably other examples more appropriate to the video, but those are the technologies I consider important while quite honestly I just walk multiple miles to town because I can't drive and I wouldn't use YouTube if I wasn't actually using it as my only way to informally "collect data" on how normal people in various countries think and what they believe.

My parents were Tories. In 2020 one of them refused to let anyone get a COVID vaccine "out of love". And since then I've only seen more people across North America and Europe (and perhaps Russia) become anti-science and anti-technology in more ways. At the same time, people have become more in favor of "empathy" and "lived experience". And I frankly don't understand it because even after I've been informally studying it for years it always seems to boil down to a whole lot of philosophical words concealing that people talk to people they personally aren't afraid of and just cease talking to anyone else. Black people talk to Black people because they aren't scared of them. Tory types talk to Tories because they aren't scared of them. And the Tories never gain any empathy from everyone talking about empathy and lived experiences, it just seems to segregate everyone and leave them with totally different palettes of words like "Black geographies" and "lived experiences" and "relationality" versus "populations" and "biographies" and "interaction". How does demanding every process in society ""exercise empathy"" even help anyone?

I graduated college with a science degree. I saw everyone hated science and technology and even books and media that were badly written enough to contain prejudice, so I tossed it into a corner and forgot it. I have been telling everyone to not trust science, not overexaggerate the importance of art, listen to whatever weird things minorities say to comb them all for correct information, and stop starting businesses since about 6 years ago.
And I feel like a frayed wire because all that happens is people just continue being mad at modernity over and over again while each year Tories defund and crush more and more of the good things about modernity and each time people get afraid "bigots are winning" I can't do anything to stop conservatism from taking over the world or killing people because all the anarchists and critical theorists actually want that for some reason.

Oh, you like science? Well science is evil, you better spend all your time on empathy. Oh, you don't have any real empathy because you're autistic? Well, get into a bunch of lived experience communities about autistic experiences. It all sounds like word salad to you because you're autistic? Well don't go to science, people self-diagnose now and go to communities. It still sounds like word salad? Ok, too bad. Maybe you're just defective and you don't deserve to work or have friends until you ABA yourself into memorizing 175 academic papers about how to pretend to understand lived experience science that will eventually make science and technology unnecessary. Hope you have the money for it, and please remember that autism is inherently racist, transphobic, and anti-autistic. Don't talk about your special interests if they don't fit the main goals of lived experience science.

What if nobody could ever make a video or write a philosophy book unless they thought about all the impacts of it?
Has anyone ever actually stopped and thought about that?
