  2. old scholars greyed by research forgotten / "Old scholars, greyed by research forgotten" [1] -> this line has to be more important than it seems, specifically because of the word "greyed". it normally has to do with age, but within the dark sanctuary it almost certainly refers to Goners of some kind. it comes up in the same chapter as Gerson going from being normal-dead to being a Goner in the context of a Dark World. it comes up in the vague vicinity of the room of organ monks that are all stone, which I feel like it's referring to. this line weirdly implies they were trying to learn something they weren't supposed to know. but there's only one stated way to become a Goner, which is leaving a Dark World. so there are only a few things you could be attempting to learn. A) what's beyond your world B) how to survive the Roaring personally C) how to stop the Roaring
  3. Monsters and humans in Deltarune are not actually filled with blood, but with Determination, because Determination (red) is the default Soul color [2] -> interesting idea. I am tempted to make a joke about Adventure Time and Marceline eating red but it isn't coming together.

  1. The red heart device is not Kris' mind or spirit (is not Kris' Soul; Deltarune) [6] -> I definitely think this is true but not in the ways Undertale works where you have to have one anyway. I think Souls are just not real in Deltarune even though they are in Undertale.
  2. Kris' Soul was put inside Dess for Kris to be able to puppet the Knight and act out the Prophecy [7]

  10. Asriel wrong-warped to college -> now that chapter 5 is out... I think we have a very plausible explanation for where Asriel went. Asriel went looking for Dess, but what he did was glitch off the map, and somewhere in the middle of the prophecy correcting itself into its second version mentioning the Roaring, the game world placed Asriel down in college as the new place the warp went to. the correction happened in the space of a few seconds, perhaps just a few moments after Dess disappeared.
    and to be fair, if Asriel and Dess disappeared at the same time, and oops, mom got a message about asriel at college mysteriously that could not have happened logically, I can see how Kris and Noelle would be horrified.
    the only questions are... who is the voice in the code if not Asriel? and is there evidence that Asriel was still around after Dess disappeared?

Alphys' theme contains leitmotifs about Determination / Alphys' leitmotif is not her own [9] -> this is why it turned up in the bird theme and the basement themes. and why it seems to halfway show up in the battle theme. that one would be a coincidence except that the battle theme and the other themes might be connected by Determination
  12. fluffy ears — you should try it some time -> very good catch. I think there are a lot of hints that Kris being trans is set up on some kind of parallel track to Dess being trans and they are both going through some kind of process of "stepping outside the matrix" and learning to transform themselves, or resisting it [10]
