For the purposes of this question, dualism and monism are concepts used in philosophy of science and in early Materialist philosophy.

Substance dualism is the ability to neatly separate out two physical substrates such that it can be shown that one is not reducible to the other, such as in old religious models that claim human bodies and "the soul" are separate, or in formulations of science where the noumenon and phenomenon are treated as separate substances — human bodies and minds are both one substance (the material) but mathematics or hypothetical statements about the future are a second separate substance that cannot be neatly combined with the material world (because the futures projected by mathematics or thought are numerous and discontinuous with each other but the material world produces only one of many possible futures, thus not neatly containing all the other hypothetical futures).
Substance monism is an arrangement of material things in which there is only one physical substrate, and all apparent divisions between different substrates are actually just the same underlying substance being twisted into different forms — for example, quarks and electrons when they are taken together as a set of "fundamental particles" become a monistic substance relative to all the different configurations on the periodic table that fundamental particles can form into to create different elements and compounds. The existence of base-to-superstructure relationships in society could, theoretically, be conceptualized as a sort of monistic process where all possible kinds of political parties stand in a role similar to chemical compounds but the underlying substance that produces them looks something like individual people who are all people or a single kind of relation of production repeated so many times it produces a specific kind of government, like a country full of feudal manors producing monarchy or a country full of corporations (capitalism) producing Liberal-republicanism.

In the present-day global capitalism of the 2020s, are the bourgeoisie and the proletariat part of a single monistic process that continuously creates more of both of them such that class itself is a monistic substance? Why or why not?
