- here's how Trotsky can still win
- workers of the world, divide
it seems like they've contained it, and nothing major has come out of it between 1940 and 2001
but unbeknownst to them, off in another shard of the same reality later to be labeled A6K-β schizoanalysis and Trotskyism had combined themselves into a strange new amalgam called schizobolshevism, and formed a new Group of Interest later to be known as Fourth International A6K-β
the schizoanalysts had been going on and on about the rights of individuals to be free from other groups of individuals and to cast off all oppressive forms of culture and perspectives they didn't want [*BWOI] the Trotskyists had discovered a way of creating anomalous letters that split reality in two it was a match made in heaven. schizoanalysts realized that the anomaly could be used to free oppressed demographics from their oppressors. Trotskyists realized that the concepts of schizoanalysis, correctly cross-applied into class analysis, would make them more effective at forming a workers' movement and "defeating Stalin". they would all be able to eventually unite into a world workers' movement as long as the world could first divide.
schizoanalysts explain to Trotskyists that the answer is always "in-between", not where the clear starts and ends of things lie. populations are divided for a reason, just like the way our minds actually think multiple thoughts at once and then choose one. there must be an answer somewhere "between" dictatorship of the bourgeoisie and proletarian revolution, because after all, not all of our brains descend into schizophrenia. Trotskyists think this idea is pretty dumb actually
schizoanalysts tell Trotskyists about the treatment of individuals with mental illness Trotskyists can kind of agree on this because aside from literal disability rights, which they do believe in, they can see certain commonalities with their theorists being treated as abnormal and inadequate and pushed out of large "Stalinist" apparatuses.
schizoanalysts present the concept that we get closer to a real concept of freedom by embracing the abnormal rather than the supposedly normal as the arbiter of truth — the schizoanalyst concept of "the exception" that's similar to the original non-SCP 'pataphysics concept of "anomaly" Trotskyists don't know what they think of this at first because traditionally they've always claimed to other people to believe in democratic centralism even though in secret parts of them really kind of don't. then after thinking about it a while, one of them has a lightbulb moment and is like, oh, wait, the bourgeoisie enforce their own idea of what is normal, while the workers, despite being the majority, are treated as the exception to normal. hang on, this is exactly what a proletarian movement is.
schizoanalysts try to explain Rhizome, how the way that everyone should unite is everyone with some kind of oppression who has been turned into an exception should come together on the basis of being the exception, and form what's basically the same as The Multitude Trotskyists don't really like this, they think it's too messy and disorganized compared with the concept of class analysis and patterns of history. they ask why all the exceptions can't come together on the basis of being workers, and wanting to be part of a workers' state. schizoanalysts don't entirely disagree with them, although they try to make a big deal about race and mental illness and queer categories and demographic identities and how prejudices cause everybody to divide and reciprocally try to call each other not normal unless the movement is about normalcy and abnormality. to this, the few absolutely sharpest Trotskyists point out that if the problem is that people labeling each other as abnormal causes people to not unite together, then what actually gives anybody the incentive to form into Rhizome and operate together to protect all the people they ultimately don't even like?
the schizoanalysts think for a moment. ultimately, they say, people don't want to be divided out of a non-singular society into The Singular or The Multiple, so they spontaneously unify into a new uncountable being and thus begin spontaneously solving for the new being's needs. at least one Trotskyist thinks this is outright crazy. people are not a slime mold, populations are not an organism, populations are dialectical processes interacting and evolving in all directions but they are surely not literally alive. the schizoanalysts are not allowed to respond with "are you sure?". regular non-anomalous people are not connected by telepathy. they are not literally organs in a body. they are not a single organism. these are the facts. Trotskyist letters may be anomalous but human beings are not.
schizoanalysts ask them how, if they don't observe the way real people in real situations burst out of oppression, they ever plan to form a movement in real circumstances. Trotskyists are adamant that Lenin was a real person in a real situation, and because Leninism did create a country, they are observing real people in real situations. schizoanalysts remark, not in a mean way, but in a way that's more lighthearted, that their conversation is a bit like the case of the anomalous letters. the letters split reality into two different things being true at the same time, and that's kind of like how Trotskyists and schizoanalysts see the Russian revolution. schizoanalysts see a reality where Lenin eventually failed, and Trotskyists see a reality where Lenin solidly succeeded. what is the truth? are both things true at once?
Trotskyists remark that if you're going to say both things are true, then it must be wrong according to schizoanalysis because schizoanalysis abhors extremes, so even if two totally contradictory and mutually exclusive things are true, the reality has to be something in the middle. the schizoanalysts not only appreciate the joke, but are actually impressed. what if that's exactly it, they ask. what if all of us are thinking about it wrong. what if the key isn't in trying to calculate what brings people together into a movement. what if the key is in realizing multiple mutually-exclusive things can be true. what if the real exception lies in the gap between forms of reality themselves. what if the only real truth is that which does not belong to anyone's local truth. what if the only real truth lies in the exceptions to everything. as the schizoanalysts present this new hypothesis, the Trotskyists are about to call them crazy again. until they begin to realize something. Stalin ordered people into "Stalinist" apparatuses, into one particular form of reality. Mao ordered people into another similar kind of apparatus although not exactly the same, into another particular form of reality. Kim Il-sung ordered people into another form of reality. but if Trotskyists found any of these structures corrupt and wanted to break them open, they would have to break open all these different forms of reality from within the marginal space in-between. from this moment there is no going back. schizoanalysis and Trotskyism have begun to merge, and have already begun to see themselves as just two slightly-contradictory sides of the same thing, joined by the great exceptional space in-between. schizoanalysis starts slowly transforming into a proper proletarian movement, Trotskyism starts slowly accumulating concepts about exceptions and anomalies, and they ultimately turn into the new 'patamarxist ideology of schizobolshevism.
gosh. I am thinking for some reason of harry potter and Platform 9¾. how platform 9¾ is stuck precisely in between the things that people know, and how it then becomes the key to letting wizards freely exist in that universe I have no idea if they'd literally bring that up as a literary metaphor in this particular hypothetical timeline, but it's a very funny thought, the schizobolshevik movement twisting Harry Potter in a totally different direction from the way center-Liberals use it
just, SCP information leaked in a Trotskyist periodical Foundation somehow learns about the leak and is like, oh boy, guess we have to contain this but whenever anyone reads the thing, they are no longer part of consensus reality A6K-α
[*] The Communist Necessity is honestly where I got the bulk of my information about either modern Anarchist movements that talk about "The Multitude" or schizoanalysis, although I have actually tried to read at least fractions of some schizoanalyst works, and intend to finish them at some point. aside from that text, I also have the fact that it seems to agree with the heaps of first-hand observations I've collected of individual behavior on online platforms, in my local area within the physical world, and as seen in various news articles or broadcasts. so it's definitely not that I don't read, it's just that much of my information is original research that each day I've been scrambling to write down and periodically cross-check against existing history or theory texts.
