== Usage notes ==

The term "post- philosophies" was used for a brief period around the time of <cite>MDem</cite> 4.3 — one or two entries posited the hypothetical existence of "post-Trotskyism" and "post-Lacanianism". By the time of <cite>MDem</cite> 5.3, this same concept is usually referred to as "meta- philosophies", and the constructs used are instead "meta-Trotskyism", "meta-anarchism", and "meta-Lacanianism". The major difference between these two sets of terms is that "postification" did not go into deep detail about how exactly ideologies were to be "post-ified", whereas the new terms invoke the concept of [[Term:meta-ontology|meta-ontology]] as one of the major engines of meta-Marxist analysis which is capable of operating on any philosophy ever conceived without the requirement for any other philosophy to accept historical materialism or class analysis.
