A "Communist ethics problem" is any philosophical dilemma around the topic of morality or ethics which involves workers' states. "Communist ethics problems" should be distinguished from attempts to create an ethical framing of workers' states which does not emerge from inside workers' states — for example, Animal Farm is not a work on Communist ethics, although a discussion within the Communist Party of the Soviet Union on how to prevent Trotskyites defecting from the country would fall under this heading.
