Usage notes[edit]

Item number[edit]

The "87" within the Item ID is in reference to the black hole pronounced M87 star, which was the subject of the world's first black hole photograph. "M87" by itself refers to the containing galaxy, while specific black holes are sometimes given a "star" identifier in some articles to distinguish them as unique objects which can be isolated with the right kind of filter from radio signals coming out of the centers of their galaxies.
