The blue field_exstruct (pronounced field_exstruct) color swatch, typically paired with the ES (pronounced ES) philosophy tag, can be used for any philosophy believed to be part of the Existentialist-Structuralist tradition, as well as for any middle-of-the-road capitalist ideologies including center- or right-Liberalism. The blue color swatch has a very broad range of meanings to the point it can almost seem like it is actually "the default color swatch". This is considered more of a feature than a bug, as it can be used to draw a loose distinction between general-interest things and highly specific things.

The ES philosophy tag is meant to apply specifically to philosophies currently believed to be part of the Existentialist-Structuralist tradition. If a particular philosophy does not directly tie into the historical phenomenon of forming this tradition then it should given another philosophy tag such as HAS (humanities, arts, and social sciences) — this tag incidentally also uses the field_exstruct color due to its loose association with language and signifier meanings.

Some other philosophy tags which have their own distinct philosophical content but which are currently considered to fall inside the Existentialist-Structuralist tradition are also given the blue field_exstruct color swatch, or on older pages simply lumped in with ES (pronounced ES).
