Usage notes[edit]

The crimson color swatch pronounced field_ML (with ML capitalized) may be used to represent any properly Materialist Marxism, including mainstream Marxism-Leninism, various Third World Marxisms aligned with it, early Maoism, Juche-socialism, and so forth. It should not be used to represent Trotskyism, Western-Marxism, or Deng Xiaoping Thought, which have their own orange and strawberry swatches respectively. If a concept is found in one of these philosophies but it clearly appears in an early source like Marx or Engels in a Materialist context, it can use the crimson swatch. A concept does not have to be materially correct to use the crimson swatch as long as it is heavily associated with historical workers' states practicing it, but any more modern error never tied to a workers' state "yet" should be given different swatches.

Sense ML may be used to represent the concept of the crimson color swatch itself.
